Center for Peace Studies And Violence Prevention: 2010 Syposium

Cultivating Peace: A Symposium for Violence Prevention

The Virginia Tech Students for Non-Violence club and the Center for Peace Studies and Violence Prevention (CPSVP) are pleased to announce the first Atlantic Coast Conference Intercollegiate Academic Consortium (ACCIAC) student research project, “Cultivating Peace: A Symposium for Violence Prevention,” planned for October 2010.
We invite all ACC University campuses, and other Colleges and Universities, to participate in order to cover a broad range of relevant topics.
Research teams led by undergraduate students may involve on- and off-campus collaborators.

Deadlines:

Teams will need to submit outlines of the projects for review by March 31, 2010. The organizing committee will choose oral and poster presentations from the proposals and divide them into thematic workshops. The organizers also plan to invite external speakers who will contribute to roundtable discussions after each workshop. Best presentations in each category will receive awards sponsored by the Lacy Foundation.
